Adama Grace Muldrow, Pilates Teacher

Head shot of Adama Grace Muldrow at Authentic Pilates of Fairfax October 2025

I am a Pilates Teacher based in Old Town, Alexandria, VA. I teach both in Old Town and at Authentic Pilates of Fairfax.

I was guided to the Pilates method by my longtime Personal Trainer (2017). His friend, along with his wife, owned a local studio that I began practicing in regularly. The classes were on contemporary reformers with made-up choreography, but I enjoyed it. I continued my practice online when I moved away for college and would occasionally take a reformer class.

By 2020, I had become a Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor with multiple certifications under my belt. I was running around the city between studios and gyms. In 2021, I was in a collision with a car while riding an electric skateboard, which slowed me down significantly and forced me to address injuries that had been lingering. I was subsequently diagnosed with scoliosis by a bad chiropractor, which launched me into an obsession with learning how to use this method to fix my body. And now I share all that I’ve learned and continue to learn with you.

Most recently, I went through Classical Pilates USA and am currently in the NYPS Teacher training program led by Sean Gallagher & Elaine Ewing.

Teachers I’ve taken lessons and workshops with include Blossom Leilani Crawford, Chris Robinson, Kira Lamb, Brett Howard, Elaine Ewing, Sean P. Gallagher, and Sandy Shimoda.

In addition to Pilates, I hold certifications in Thai Yoga Massage, am a Personal Trainer, and have multiple Yoga Certifications.

I continue my weekly lessons under the guidance of Vicki van Blaricom of Authentic Pilates of Fairfax.
